A test in Galle has been an integral part of the schedule that Sri Lanka follow in their home test series. The offshore stadium has always seen competitive and entertaining test cricket since its inclusion as an international venue.

Bangladesh have chosen a balanced squad, considering their own standards and they might prove to be a bit competitive for the Lankans, however the probability is very low when facing the Lions in their own den.

The side is led by Mushfiqur Rahim, who will also keep wickets. Shahadat Hossain and Rubel Hossain will be leading the pace bowling pack. Tamim Iqbal is likely to open with Mohammad Ashraful.

Also, Mahmudullah, Nasir Hossain and Jahurul Islam are present to strengthen the middle order. Sohag Gazi and Elias Sunny will be leading the spin attack for Bangladesh.

Unfortunately for the Tigers, Shakib Al Hasan will miss the series, as he has not yet recovered from injury.

On the other hand, Sri Lanka are not willing to compromise their standards in this low-profile series, and hence they have named a full strength squad, from the available options.

Four uncapped players have also been included, and Mahela Jayawardene misses out as he is still recovering from injury. Nuwan Pradeep also misses out due to injury.

Ajantha Mendis is back in the international test arena, as he and Rangana Herath look to spin Sri Lanka to victory.

Angelo Mathews will be marshalling the troops in his first test series assignment, and it looks like an easy passage for him in the beginning.

The Galle pitch as always will assist the swing bowlers, with humid and ideal conditions to move the ball. However it will definitely crumble and take some spin as the match goes on.
